A predictably wet day but the fall colors were simply gorgeous. The drive up was stupendous, as soon as it got light. Kancamagus Hwy was awash in oranges, reds, and yellows; the trail less so. (views from the road were better---for colors and vistas.) I did South peak first. Only a few other hikers. I met a little girl with her Dad twice, as they took the opposite direction around the loop. I met them the second time at North peak, where they had stopped for lunch and the Dad was erecting a tarp to shelter them. The little girl was so excited: "You're going to tie it to trees!"
Summary: Under 6 hours, ~10 miles, ~2600' rise
